WebGuide es un pequeño programa que no hace más que habilitarte la conexión desde Internet, a través del navegador Web, a todos los archivos multimedia que tienes en tu equipo, permitiendo reproducir, estés donde estés cualquier archivo que tengas en tu PC, pero que también nos va a permitir acceder a nuestra Guía EPG, para así poder programar grabaciones o reproducir TV en vivo.

Do you want to remotely stream your music and videos stored on your home server? I have been hanging out in Las Vegas this week, and my music has been with me all week. I have the latest version of WebGuide (v 4.110) loaded on my home server and I can easily access my music when I am not at home.

We've always been big fans of Doug Berrett's WebGuide addin for Windows Media Center. In 2007 Microsoft bought Dougs code and employed him. Now they've just released WebGuide for Windows Home Server.

For anyone who's realised they forgot to record the latest Prison Break, WebGuide is ideal: this nifty program lets you remotely access a Windows Media Center system to schedule recordings, and manage recorded TV programmes from any internet-connected computer. The paid-for version unlocks features such as streaming video, TV, music and photos, but the free version is still ideal if you forget to schedule a recording. And there are versions for both XP Media Center Edition and Vista, too.

Doug Berrett has just released the long awaited V4.0 of his WebGuide add-on for Windows XP Media Centre Edition. We've been on the beta program for the last few weeks, and we are long time users of V3. In fact WebGuide has become such a integral part of the way we use MCE, that we wonder how we ever coped without it. Great job Doug.
